HÔTEL DES COUTELLIER
A boutique hotel in Quebec City's Old Port, with a warm, contemporary touch, ideal for a memorable stay.
The perfect place to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of Quebec City's Old Port, this boutique hotel, housed in a former warehouse, has preserved the cachet of the premises while adding a warm, contemporary touch. Some rooms have retained their brick walls, others have four large windows, but all offer unparalleled comfort. And what can we say about the open-plan Prestige suite with brick wall and double therapeutic bath with chromotherapy! You'll find here a most charming welcome for a memorable stay.

The best part about this hotel was the staff. Everyone was incredibly courteous and accommodating, and we felt truly welcome there. The manager even treated the guests to a complimentary glass of sparkling wine on NYE, which we thought was a lovely touch.
The room was also very spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a small fridge and basic kitchen necessities. They also have a wonderful system for providing a continental breakfast each day... the housekeeping staff places a little insulated caddy on a hook outside the room, and it contains fresh croissants with butter and jam, along with some other snacks and orange juice. I thought this was a great way of getting a bite to eat in the morning without having to get dressed to go to a dining room, paying for expensive room service that often takes forever, or having to leave the property altogether.
Thank you all for a wonderful stay in Quebec!
1. There are price tags on everything in the room - from liquor bottles, bottle openers, mini bar, water in the washroom, and the umbrella in the closet. This was a little worrying as I was constantly unsure if I had paid for an add on in the hotel.
2. The air vent in the washroom was very linty.
3. The breakfast was a little bare. It’s a great idea, however unlike the reviews on here that describe the contents - we only got a pain au chocolat, a roll, a small pierce of cheese, some jam and butter, and a juice. The yogurt that had been mentioned in the past would have been a welcome addition to round out the basket.
