This building opened in 1929 as the tallest tower in the British Empire. Today it is outnumbered by the many buildings in Toronto's financial district, but the hotel's elegant comfort lives up to the Fairmont chain's reputation. The hotel has undergone major upgrades in recent years, which were completed in 2019 to mark the hotel's 90th anniversary. Numerous services on site: restaurants and bars (including the Clockwork), indoor pool, whirlpool, steam baths and saunas, health spa, etc.
