LA RAPIÈRE
Children - aged 5 years - and adults, beginners or confirmed, all can come to the Rapière to practice leisure or competition fencing, jubilation or sword. A meeting is offered, in order to familiarise yourself with the basics of fencing, feel the atmosphere of the club, and discover if, yes or no, you have the fibre of a fleurettiste or an épéiste. Courses are open to all ages and classes, wards and veterans. All new since the spring: the fitness-fencing sessions (starting 15 years). There is no need to handle the sword in order to participate; the discipline involves many movements but without weapons. Beyond its physical aspects, this practice promotes gestures and rhythmic synchronisation, with the aim of performing to music, specific gestures by simulating fencing actions. It also allows for an emphasis on concentration and memory. In summary: helps reduce stress by proposing intense physical work synonymous with well-being. A complete sport, in sum.
