FÊTE DE LA CREVETTE
Small in size but big in talent, the "little grey girl" offers herself a queen's weekend every year, usually at the end of September/beginning of October. An authentic meeting that pays tribute to the shrimp, emblem of the Honfleur city. At its side, some cousins (bouquets of Chausey, for example), fish and other guests from the great seafood family (oysters, mussels,...) celebrate fishermen, boats and their crews, the sea and its many treasures. On the programme: entertainment, sea songs, concerts, crafts and painting exhibitions, shelling competitions, tastings (a treat of bread, butter and freshly peeled shrimp), a fish market, a gathering of old rigging. A great autumn moment when it is nice to stroll along the quays of the Old Basin.
