A small, charming hotel in a quiet, typical and very green area, just a stone's throw from Hamburg's trendy and alternative district: Sternschanze. Within walking distance of the hotel, there is a large number of cafés, restaurants and bars. The rooms are simple but pleasant and bright with quality furniture and wooden floors. The breakfast products come directly from the market and from the nearby shops. A good alternative to stay in a lively and dynamic area, while remaining quiet.

We called for information, which is when our problems started. Kathrin very rudely informed us that she had no other rooms available and we must pay the full amount of our booking, despite this mixup. We never met her, nor stayed in the hotel in the end, and she simply charged our card. When we called her again to try and clear up the situation, she once again rudely yelled at us, claiming that because no one else had misunderstood her in 18 years we must be in the wrong.
I understand honest mix ups, and we would have been willing to pay in part or in full, but treating your customers rudely, as idiots who cannot understand their mother tongue, when you made a mistake, is totally unacceptable, unprofessional, and simply unkind.
Take your money and pride elsewhere, and stay away from Schlaflounge.
