FLATOWTURM
This tower, built in the century, offers a breathtaking view of Potsdam, its parks and the Havel River.
For anyone who has ever been to Frankfurt am Main, there will be something strangely familiar about this tower. The Flatowturm in Babelberg Park is directly inspired by the Eschenheim Gate in the financial metropolis' city centre. The latter is a remnant of the 15th century. As for our Flatow Tower, it was erected, despite its medieval silhouette, in the mid-19th century according to the plans of Johann Heinrich Strack (Siegessäule in Berlin). From the top, you have a breathtaking view of Potsdam, its parks and the course of the Havel.
