The Diwane hotel in Marrakech, everyone knows! We could not have a better location in the heart of Guéliz. Close to restaurants, Mohammed V Avenue, the Carré Eden and all the attractions, this hotel, which is a little dated but has an old-fashioned charm, allows you to go out at any time without depending on a vehicle. After the effort, the comfort, on a deckchair at the edge of its large swimming pool where one will appreciate to rest, or why not in the spa for a deserved relaxation. Perfect for those looking for a traditional hotel service.

Paid for a Superior room - received a grubby and grotty second rate room which was nothing like the 4* we were led to believe. Had to then pay an extra £115 to upgrade and this time, the room was much nicer but had not been cleaned. Marks on the walls, pubes on towels and mucky floors. I ended up nipping to the local Marjane to get cleaning products to get it up to standard.
You cannot blame the cleaners as they work hard but are directed what to do by management at the end of the day.
There were 5 people that we thought were lovely and tried hard to ensure our stay was great; The Security/Luggage personnel, our cleaner and the two ladies on the activities section. Everyone else seemed like they could not care less about our experience.
It was especially noted that I personally was treated differently being a woman. My Partner exchanged money and I stood by his side waiting to change mine. Instead of serving me next, the male Receptionist opted to have a chat with his male friend as I stood waiting patiently. When his friend left, he looked around for other male customers before turning to serve me, which I thought very rude.
Turkish pancakes were tasty and despite Ramadan, there were a few staff that managed to be pleasant and hospitable which was nice.
Not far from the Medina and plenty of places to eat nearby like Rotisserie de la Paix and Mamma Mia's (highly recommended).
Great vacation for 5 days in Marrakech however should we return, we would not stay in the Diwane.
Il devait y avoir un buffet tous les soirs en demi pension .il à eut seulement lieu le soir de Noël et à été resservi les trois jours qui ont suivi en dîner ou buffet ....au 28 rien ne semblait plus très frais .la nourriture était basique décongelé. Sauf le matin les dames faisaient des préparations .
Les chaises de la salle à manger étaient insuffisantes le matin et brinquebalantes .
Les chambres qui donnent sur l avenue sont bruyantes impossible de dormir .
On a demandé à changer .
La deuxième chambre était vieillotte et la salle de bain pourrie .
Ils sont venus déboucher les toilettes au bout de cinq jours .
La peinture au fond de la baignoire se décollait.
Impossible de prendre un bain
Les joints étaient horribles tout jaunis .
Les robinets étaient couverts de calcaire et fuyaient .
Les transats n ont pas été nettoyé pendant toute la semaine .
On a pas toujours rencontré le gardien pour avoir une serviette .
Pendant trois il y a eut un marteau piqueur au dessus de notre chambre de 14 h à 17h .
Nous n avons pas voulus tester les loisirs de peur d être encore déçus. Malgré la grande gentillesse des deux dames qui accueillaient .
Situé à 2km.6 de la place Jemma El Fna
Nous sommes passés par la plate forme Veepee .
Ils nous ont proposé 119 euros de remboursement suite à notre mécontentement. On a voulu renégocié plus .ils sont redescendus à 60 euros .moralité ne pas négocier avec eux .
Nous ne voyageons plus jamais avec eux .
Esta a unos 40 minutos de la medina en línea recta por la avenida Mohamed V, puede parecer pesado, pero es una avenida europea con restaurantes, tiendas y mucha seguridad, y se agradece salir del bullicio del centro. Calidad precio le doy un 10.
Revuerda un 4 estrellas de Marruecos no es un europeo.
