More than 9,000 athletes came to run 42.195 km along the city's palm trees, orange trees and ramparts.
Since 1987, the Marrakech International Marathon has established itself as one of the world's most prestigious races. Every year, more than 9,000 athletes from all over the world come to Marrakech to take up the challenge of running this marathon, in a pleasant climate and exceptional setting. To kick off the race, a 3 km welcome run is free and open to all. This is followed by the children's race, the veterans' race and the half-marathon, before the final whistle blows for the marathon, accessible to the most seasoned runners.
