Excellent coffee farm in Gianyar, an authentic place to discover different Balinese coffees, especially Kopi luwak.

The Satria coffee farm is located near Ubud. In this authentic setting, come and discover the different Balinese coffees: kopi luwak, coffee with ginseng and coffee on its own, as well as local specialities and a small local spa... This farm is excellent! As an added bonus, at the end of your visit you'll get to taste - for a fee - a kopi luwak: the famous coffee harvested from the excrement of an Asian civet! It's one of the most expensive coffees in the world, but also one of the most unusual!

L'endroit est très beau, on peut y découvrir la fabrication de café mais également voir des cacaoyers, des caféiers et d'autres arbres intéressants. Malgré tout, je n'y retournerai pas car je ne cautionne pas la garde en captivité des luwaks avec lesquels ils font du café. Faire du café ok, mais pas en gardant dans de petites cages des luwaks. Endroit à fuir ! Vous découvriez ailleurs de bien plus beaux endroits.

Certes, la visite est intéressante et la dégustation sympathique. mais j'ai fait pas mal d'achats (vanille, encens, thé, tisane) et j'ai été très déçue à mon retour en France, les produits ne sont pas de qualité (thé très moyen, encens avec mauvaise odeur, ...). La boutique est jolie mais la qualité n'y est pas. Bref, plutôt à éviter...
