PURA KEHEN
Temple representing the sanctuary of the royal ancestors and featuring a courtyard containing remains from the megalithic era in Bangli.
The first courtyard contains vestiges and evidence of the megalithic era. In the second courtyard, we find the altars of the royal ancestors and in the last courtyard, a rather astonishing meru with eleven superimposed roofs. This temple is the main one of the village, which represents the sanctuary of the royal ancestors. At the bottom of the stairs, escorted by demons and naga, an old temple still houses archives and documents engraved on bronze plates. The statues are made in the wayang style, i.e. in profile, and lead to the main porch.
