TIHINGAN VILLAGE
A small village of blacksmiths specializing in the manufacture of gongs, used to make gamelans, for an enriching visit.
3 km from the museum, this small blacksmith village specializes in making gongs for gamelans. The workshops are located in the main street and are active until early afternoon. Small gongs can be bought there. Tihingan gongs are known for the quality of the materials used and their sound quality.
The origin of the name of the village is said to come from the many bamboo trees found in this village, so " tihing" means bamboo trees, and after a long time, the village was named Tihingan.
