Temple dedicated to Shiva and Hariti, the Buddhist figure of fertility, a popular place for women wishing to become pregnant.
The temple is inhabited by monkeys. One can continue walking for another 45 minutes to reach a second temple. A few kilometers east of Candidasa, the road climbs to the Gumang temple. From the parking lot, it is a 45 minute climb up the steps to reach it and enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean. Not far from there, there is also the Pura Candidasa. The small village temple is dedicated to Shiva and Hariti, the Buddhist figure of fertility. Women wishing to become pregnant flock to the temple, their arms full of offerings.
