On a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea, this large temple contains a large pavilion and two platforms. The history of this temple dates back to the time of the Javanese priest Nirartha. Legend has it that Nirartha, meditating on a rock above the waves, witnessed a shipwreck that claimed the lives of its passengers. Then, using his extraordinary powers, he brought them back to life, creating a veritable miracle. Witnesses saw a glow emanating from the rock on which Nirartha had been sitting during the event, and decided to erect an altar in his honor
