A temple to visit in the heart of the town of Singaraja, featuring typical northern Bali architecture with a large candi bentar.
In the middle of Singaraja town, be sure to visit the Agung Jagat Natha Temple. The foundation stone was laid on April 9, 1990, and the temple was completed in 1993, for a first ceremony on July 4, 1993. It is worth a visit for its typical North Bali architecture. It had to be big, so a 15 m high candi bentar was built and as it was not enough, the padmasana (throne) dedicated to Sang Hyang Widi (the great supreme god source of life) is still a little higher.
