Korea's largest mosque on Itaewon Hill, built in 1976 and attended by a large number of worshippers.
Korea's largest mosque is located here, on the top of the small Itaewon hill. There is a Middle Eastern scent floating in it. It was built in 1976 and now has a large number of faithful. Its presence also explains why the district is now full of Middle Eastern and hallal restaurants (which is relatively rare in South Korea) and which adapt during Ramadan. The prayers are trilingual: Arabic, English and Korean.
