This complex built for the Olympic Games (1988) houses a few gymnasiums and a large park with an outdoor museum of contemporary sculptures, lawns, fountains, lake... Bicycles and even small electric cars are available for rent. In the northern corner is the Mongchontoseong fortress. This 2 km long earth wall, surrounded by a moat and once bordered by a palisade, dates from the 3rd century AD. During the work, many objects were discovered, most of them being remnants of pottery. They are on display in the small museum.
