LOTTE WORLD
Complex, one of the largest in Asia, with hotel, store, shopping mall, sports center, museum and amusement park.
This huge complex, one of the largest in Asia, includes the Lotte hotel, the department store of the same name, a sports centre with tennis, swimming pool, saunas, etc., a shopping gallery, a folk museum and an amusement park, the Lotte World Adventure. The park is half covered and under the huge dome are rides, parades, restaurants, skating rink, etc.. To get outside on the island of the artificial lake Seokchon, take a monorail or the footbridge that crosses the road. There too, several attractions have been installed, including a new riding arena, the Gyro Drop, which for the moment has no equivalent: sitting in your seat, you make a 60 m free fall from the top of a tower! Swan-shaped pedal boats are available for a walk on the lake.
Folklore museum. This good museum presents copies of objects and monuments of Korean history from prehistory to Goryeo, including a reproduction of the tomb of King Muryeong, Seokkuram, etc. Ideal for those who cannot travel to the provinces. A room imitating a traditional Korean market is dedicated to craftsmen who make and sell traditional objects. The most interesting is certainly the large room where scenes of daily life under Joseon are displayed using small figurines. This is not only for children. Not far away is also a small stage (norimadang) where traditional dance and music are regularly performed.
