PANORAMA OF THE HEATHER
La Bruyère offers panoramic views of the Vire River, Mont de Ceris, and the Saint-Sever National Forest.
About ten kilometres west of Souleuvre en Bocage, La Bruyère offers a superb panorama of the Vire River, the Mount of Cerisy (nicknamed the "lighthouse of the Bocage"), and the national forest of Saint-Sever. In good weather, you can even see the bell tower of Coutances.
For the keen walkers, a 16-kilometre-long hike "Sur le chemin des bruyères" (allow 4 hours), allows you to reach the vast panorama of La Bruyère, passing by the 6 ha pond of Bény-Bocage. Departure from the grain and butter market of Bény-Bocage.
