LION-SUR-MER CASTLE
Castle composed of a semicircular tower to the east, a stair turret to the south, and a pepperpot roof
The castle of Lion-sur-Mer can only be admired from the outside. This has the advantage of letting your imagination run wild. The date of construction is not known: it was built in the 13th century when the castle was a manor. Then, over the centuries, various constructions were added to the building: a Renaissance pavilion in the 16th century, a western main building begun in the 16th century and completed in the 17th century, then in the 18th century a three-story building, composed of a semicircular tower to the east, a staircase turret to the south, and a pepperpot roof.
