Wooden chalets, giant fir trees, Advent candles and thousands of toys: the Christmas fairytale is in full swing under a veil of snow.
In Denmark, Christmas is called JUL. The tradition is deeply rooted in Danish homes. Before opening presents, families gather around the tree to dance, holding hands and singing traditional songs, to keep the little ones waiting in good spirits. Some families do this before dinner. On Saint Lucia's Day, December 13, we meet in Tivoli Park. It's a chance to try out the cold while sipping hot gløgg and delicious æbleskiver .
