In the heart of the Pisserenden district, once a place of lovemaking, this church was built around 1450 for German-speaking people. Surrounded by its old cemetery, it is especially unique in Denmark for its burial chapels dating from 1648. In the garden, a monument catches the eye. Death and the Mother by Niels Hansen Jacobsen, 1892. The reaper who takes away her child from a distraught mother illustrates Andersen's text, The Story of a Mother.
