NEW THEATER
Theater with red carpets, chandeliers and Italian-style auditorium, presenting a program dedicated to musical comedy.
Inaugurated in 1908, this theatre has the particularity of spanning the passage between Vesterbrogade and Gammel Kongevej. This old-fashioned performance hall, with red carpets, chandeliers and an Italian-style hall, fortunately escaped destruction when the venue was forced to close its doors in 1990, due to the double effect of the disaffection of the public and the lack of maintenance of the premises. Carefully restored in 1994, it now offers a program dedicated to musicals: Les Misérables, Billy Elliot or Le Fantôme de l'Opéra have passed through here.
