No one can ignore it, the Little Mermaid is the symbol of Copenhagen, immortalized forever by Andersen's famous tale.

Surrounded by tourists and boats, the Little Mermaid is undoubtedly the symbol of Copenhagen. Admittedly, she's not very big, but she exudes a melancholy charm. She was sculpted by Edvard Eriksen in 1913 for Carl Jacobsen to immortalize the features of his mistress Ellen Price, prima ballerina at the Royal Theatre. He had fallen in love with her during a ballet illustrating Andersen's fairy tale. The statue was donated to the city and installed at the entrance to the port.

Elle est finalement toute petite mais pourtant toute une foule se bouscule pour prendre une photo d'elle ! Le plus agréable c'est la bade en longeant les quais.

Passage incontournable d'une visite à Copenhague, la petite sirène est cependant le point de rencontre des nombreux bus touristiques sillonnant la ville.
Les groupes s'y entassent et rendent la prise de photo souvenir un peu compliquée.Idealement, rejoignez la sirène à pied pour profiter du paysage.

la petite sirène est le symbole de Copenhague malgré sa petite taille, elle est très courtisée donc dificille à photographier. Ne pas voir la petite sirène si l'on va à Copenhague serait impardonnable .
