No one can ignore it, the Little Mermaid is the symbol of Copenhagen, immortalized forever by Andersen's famous tale.

Surrounded by tourists and boats, the Little Mermaid is undoubtedly the symbol of Copenhagen. Admittedly, she's not very big, but she exudes a melancholy charm. She was sculpted by Edvard Eriksen in 1913 for Carl Jacobsen to immortalize the features of his mistress Ellen Price, prima ballerina at the Royal Theatre. He had fallen in love with her during a ballet illustrating Andersen's fairy tale. The statue was donated to the city and installed at the entrance to the port.

C'est l'emblème de Copenhague : ne manquez pas d'aller voir la belle statue de la Petite Sirène, charmante et tellement romantique. Et pour corser la visite, allez-y en bateau-bus public, c'est tellement plus sympathique. Bien sur, la belle est entourée de touristes mais c'est normal, elle est tellement belle !

Superbe statue symbole de la ville de Copenhague. L'histoire nous dira que la vraie statue est caché dans un lieu tenu secret pour ne pas qu'elle soit abîmée !

La petite sirène de Copenhague est plutôt décevante par sa taille et par le cadre dans lequel elle est située (port industriel en arrière plan) mais on n'a pas pu s'empêcher d'aller la voir cette fois-ci aussi. Beaucoup d'autres touristes ont eu la même idée.
