AMAGER PARK AND BEACH (AMAGER STRANDPARK)
A site to discover a 2 km-long artificial "island" that defines a sort of lagoon bordered by 5 km of beaches.
Three narrow bridges lead to this long island. At the end are the (artificial) beach and the dunes. Copenhagen's 'beach', which was developed in the 1930s, had fallen into disrepair because the sand was washed away by the currents. In the early 2000s, the place underwent a serious facelift. An artificial "island" was built, 2 km long, forming a kind of lagoon bordered by 5 km of beaches. In summer, it is difficult to find a place to put your towel down!
