PLACE SAINT-JEAN (SANKT HANS TORV)
Copenhagen's vast, bustling square, decorated with a fountain entitled The Raining House, a work by Jørgen H. Sørensen.
This vast square, at the crossroads of five streets, is adorned by a fountain entitled The Raining House, a work by Jørgen H. Sørensen, which was installed in 1993 when the square was redeveloped. A very lively place (in fine weather), when cafés spread their terraces around an old telephone booth converted into a bar, close to pleasant alleyways: Elmegade or Guldbergsgade leading along the Jewish cemetery, to a cinema set up in a former factory, the Biograf empire.
