GUNNAR NU HANSENS PLADS
A place in honour of the legendary sports journalist Gunnar "Nu" Hansen (1905-1993), who sang about the exploits of the national football team for more than 40 years, mainly on the radio. The commentator is immortalized brandishing a microphone from another era! Note a little further on, a brick enclosure whose entrance is stamped with the arms of the Royal House. This is the former Royal Kanonhallen riding arena. Home to a brand new theatre created in autumn 2009, Republique, it is set up in a tent and hosts experimental shows.
