LYNGBY KIRKE (ÉGLISE)
This church, a jewel of Romanesque art, is distinguished by its 2 entrance doors: one for men (south side) and one for women (north side)
This small jewel of Romanesque art, built in the mid-12th century, has been beautifully renovated in 2012-2015. Its particularity, two entrance doors: for man on the south side, for woman on the north side; the figure of a lion holding a human in its mouth called Lyngby-Løven , or the set of frescoes, dating from the construction around 1500 of the vault covering the single nave. The colours, slightly muted, letting red and brown shine through, tell us about the cycle of Genesis and Passion. To see: bucolic cemetery around the church.
