OPEN-AIR MUSEUM (FRILANDSMUSEET)
An open-air section offering a pleasant stroll through dozens of farmhouses equipped with period furniture, objects and tools.
This open-air section of the National Museum in Copenhagen offers a pleasant stroll through dozens of thatched farmhouses, mostly from all parts of present-day Denmark, transported and brought up here. Most of them date from the 17th and 18th centuries and are all equipped with period furniture, objects and tools. Opened in 1901 on 36 hectares, the site is quite extensive. You can go for a walk there by renting a horse-drawn cart! Ideal for families.
