Marcène Bley, from the Ivorian diaspora, is an expert who spent nearly 20 years behind the stove in the United States before opening her table at Le Plateau. We loved the cocotte taro (crushed taro leaves, shrimps and fish, yam and steamed banana), the generous snail butterfly, the pili-pili prawns and their subtle seasoning, the filet mignon à l'abidjanaise, or the mother house entrecote steak, marinated in coffee, local spices, cola nuts and cardamom. On the USA side, we liked the Maryland crab-cake and the New York cheese-cake.
