LOUISIMONE GUIRANDOU GALLERY
Gallery housed in an elegant building with an eco-responsible graphic façade, featuring works by designer-photographers...
Inaugurated in December 2015 with the exhibition "Amitiés sincères", presenting the works of designers Ousmane Mbaye (Senegal), David Guyot (France) and Issa Diabaté (Ivory Coast), the LouiSimone Gallery dedicates the thirty years of activity of its owner Simone Guirandou N'Diaye. An emblematic figure in the promotion of art in Côte d'Ivoire, she opened her gallery Arts Pluriels in 1991 and exhibited great names in Ivorian, African and international art (Jacques Samir Stenka, Augustin Kassi, Monnè Bou, Bouba Keïta, Youssouf Bath, Tamsir Dia, Michel Kodjo, Cyprien Kablan, Idrissa Diarra, Were-Were Liking...). The art gallery is an elegant building with a graphic façade designed by the Koffi and Diabaté architectural firm. Both modern and eco-responsible, the LouiSimone Gallery (an association of the first names of Mrs Guirandou and her late husband) offers art a refined setting, and the natural light shafts pierced in its ceiling allow the best possible understanding of the works on display. The establishment's programming, which has included the works of Ivorian designer Jean Servais Somian and French photographer Ana Zulma, Guinean artist Nú Barreto, Beninese visual artist Charly d'Almeida, Franco-Belgian pop artist Kadarik and Ivorian designer Loza Maléombho, stands out for its beautiful avant-gardism and generous eclecticism. A must for all art lovers.
