Inaugurated in 1929 but built in the 1870s during the Dutch colonial era, Jakarta Kota station is located in the heart of the historic district. As the country's oldest station, it elegantly blends neoclassical and Art Deco architectural styles. Hundreds of thousands of passengers pass through here every day, making it an essential hub for suburban travel to cities such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi, as well as for certain intercity connections. Restaurants, ticket offices and stores inside.
