À VUE DE TRUFFE
In 2017, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Truffe A vue de Truffe charity association, which trains guide dogs for the blind, which it then gives free of charge (yes, you read it right) to people with visual impairment. Unique in Normandy and in its operation since it is a non-profit organization, A Vue de Truffe has already given away more than twenty dogs for which it also provides follow-up. Knowing that the training of a dog lasts about 2 years and costs about 18 000 €, requiring the skills of professionals (educator, psychologist, veterinarian, etc.), it is better to surround yourself with solid partners. Strong as the volunteers who run the association are worth it, whether they are members of the board, administrators or dog host families. So let's give, give, give, give, give, give! Besides, it's tax-deductible! And then, A Vue de Truffe has another vocation: to raise awareness of visual disabilities among the general public. For this purpose, Stéphane Moreau, the association's educator, organizes dinners and evenings in the dark with a visual artist. You may say that this is enough to change the way we look at blindness, and yet....
