Age restrictions
In discotheques or pubs, the legal age to enter is 18 years old minimum.
What's very local
In Dublin, we like to dress up to go out at night. Whatever the season (and the weather), it's high heels, evening dress and shirt to go party!
Smokers
Smoking is prohibited indoors: go to the terraces, patios or smoking areas of discotheques.
Tourist traps
In Dublin, in Temple Bar or some of the downtown spots, there are many touts offering you entry to the various pubs, nightclubs, discos and strip clubs. Even if you are offered free entry or a free first drink, you are not likely to see many locals in these establishments.
