CANAL AND MARINA
Canal at Ouistreham, with a delightful outer harbour accessible at all times of the tide
The famous Ouistreham canal was dug in the 19th century, stretching for almost 14 km, and opened to the public in 1857. It was at this time that Ouistreham began to be used for pleasure boating. In 1960, a dock with a capacity of 650 berths was built to the east of the canal, which continues to delight French and foreign yachtsmen today, with an outer harbour accessible at all times of the tide, and a permanent daily welcome by a dynamic and accessible team.
