The days of street food addresses like these were thought to be long gone, but some are still going strong. A tiny store with an oven and deep-fat fryers, the Casa (house) de la Panizza still feeds workers and office employees in downtown Savona. Here, the chickpea flour-based dough ( panizza) is fried in large pots of oil and served between two slices of bread. It's not very light, but it's delicious! For dessert, try castagnaccio, a chestnut flour cake.

Un appuntamento al quale io e mio marito non manchiamo ogni volta che andiamo a Savona. Si tratta di uno storico locale rustico all'interno di un vicolo che attraversa l'antica via Pia che mi riporta indietro nel tempo a quando passavo di lì ai tempi della scuola insieme alle compagne per mangiare il tradizionale panino con la panizza. E' bello ritrovare ancora quei profumi e quei sapori senza tempo. I proprietari sono simpatici e gentili e i prezzi sono buoni

Da ben 45 anni che gusto la panissa in questa caratteristica casa della panizza, sempre veramente sempre buonissima e appetitosa! Consigliatissimo!

Posticino fuori dal tempo. Panizza fuori dal comune, tradizioni antiche tramandate di generazione in generazione. ANDATECI.
