For over 70 years, the most famous festival in Italy has been celebrating Italian song in the city of San Remo.
Every year, for one of Italy's most famous festivals, founded in 1951, San Remo becomes the capital of Italian song. Let's face it, it's extremely difficult to get tickets. The whole town celebrates for a week, and the atmosphere is very festive. Some songs, which have become international hits, began their careers here, such as Laura Pausini's La Solitudine and Toto Cutugno's L'Italiano (Lasciatemi cantare ).
