VILLA DORIA CENTURIONE
Villa hosting a naval museum that traces the close link between the Republic of Genoa and the sea.
Built by the banker and patron of Charles V, Adamo Centurione, in the 16th century, this elegant villa, surrounded by a beautiful park, was later enlarged for Giovanni Andrea Doria, nephew of the famous admiral. Today it houses a beautiful naval museum. The museographic tour develops through a series of rooms decorated with remarkable period frescoes. The museum traces the close link between the Republic of Genoa and the sea, since the Middle Ages, through the discovery of its ancient colonies, the evolution of its fleet, etc.
