FERRARI PIAZZA
The square that separates the old town from the modern city features a spectacular circular bronze fountain.
Designed in the 19th century by Carlo Barabino and featuring a beautiful circular bronze fountain (1936), this square forms the junction between the old and modern city. A grand staircase links it to the Palazzo Ducale to the west, while the former Stock Exchange and Navigazione Italiana palaces rise to the east. The Carlo Felice Theatre shows off its post-modern finery, preceded by the equestrian statue of Garibaldi, easily recognizable by his beard and shirt. An essential crossroads, the traffic is dense but the atmosphere pleasant.
