GALLERIA MAZZINI
Symbol of the industrial Genoa located near theaters and many cafes
Parallel to Via Roma, just a few steps from the Piazza de Ferrari, this symbol of industrial Genoa has become the place to be after the theater, given its proximity to theaters and numerous cafés and restaurants. Its construction dates back to the 1870s and was inspired by Parisian covered passages. It is named after Giuseppe Mazzini, the famous Genoese who was one of the architects of Italian Unity. Bronze lampposts and a glass dome add to its charm. A number of period stores have retained their handsome storefronts.
