RACCOLTE FRUGONE
Splendid villa exhibiting the collections that belonged to the Frugone brothers.
This splendid 18th-century villa was acquired by the City of Genoa in 1979, along with the lush parkland that surrounds it. Inside, the collections that once belonged to the Frugone brothers are on display.
The nine-hall exhibition covers the Italian artistic movements of the 19th century. Among the 200 works on display are canvases by De Nittis and Mosé Bianchi for the Pointillists, Segantini among the representatives of Symbolism, while Giovanni Fattori and Telemaco Signorini are just some of the names among the genre and landscape painters.
