Rebuilt in 1950 on the remains of a12th-century edifice, the sea-side church houses the relics of St. George, patron saint and protector of the city of Genoa. A local sailor is said to have brought them back from a crusade in the Holy Land... Take the opportunity to admire the unique panorama of the port and the sea. This is the first monument you come across along the path that leads to the end of the Portofino promontory (40-minute round-trip walk), which continues to Castello Brown and then on to the lighthouse, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view.
