The castello Brown now hosts cultural events.

Formerly the San Giorgio fortress, its origins date back to the 16thcentury . Its function has always been that of a military watchtower, thanks to its strategic position on the bay. In 1870, the English consul Sir Brown bought the property and made it his private home. Today, it hosts cultural events and, in its grounds, the International Center for Outdoor Sculpture, with works by Pomodoro, Messina, Marrai and Costa. Upstairs, an impressive photo gallery of celebrities who have visited Portofino, including Churchill, Disney, Jackie Kennedy...

L'entrée est payante et rien ne l'indique. Beaucoup de marches pour accéder à un site payant... Il n'y a pas spécialement de belle vue, je n'ai pas compris l'intérêt de cet endroit.
