Here's a little osteria that's over a hundred years old (opened in 1905), but there's nothing infernal about it - quite the contrary! A regular clientele regularly descends the few steps that lead to the two vaulted rooms down the street, where you're always sure to find the flavors of a plentiful traditional cuisine at fair prices: stuffed anchovies, minestrone, tripe and several local specialties such as stuffed mussels. While the atmosphere in this old-fashioned cellar is warm and welcoming, the place is nonetheless noisy. The staff speak French.

Ottimo cibo. Caratteristica osteria che ha mantenuto il suo fascino ...nonostante siano passati 50 anni da quando, bambino, mi ci portavano a pranzo.

I'm sure the food here is really good. However, when I went there, nobody wanted to approach me to ask why I was standing there for ten minutes while waiting for someone to talk to me to get my husband and me a table. It wasn't even busy, it was a particularly bad weather day so the restaurant had a lot of empty tables. When I finally got to talk to the manager, he promptly told me they were full, without even checking their guest list or asking me to wait.
For your information, I am Bangladeshi Italian, dark skinned and wearing a headscarf. My husband is also dark skinned South Asian.
It's such a shame because I was happy to spend money to taste some authentic food. But I guess racism is more important than serving good food.

Osteria molto caratteristica e particolare, abbiamo pranzato di domenica con prenotazione ed è stato tutto perfetto. Pezzi nella norma. Consigliato.

Great food and authentic local atmosphere. Not expensive either.
