Welcoming youth hostel with rooms with beds, some with sea view.
The solution for small budgets that do not give up on staying in the heart of Portovenere. The building, slightly high, is pretty, the welcome is friendly, the rooms are functional, although a bit spartan and perhaps need to be refreshed (but hey, this is a youth hostel). In all, 52 beds in 9 double, triple or quadruple rooms, all with private bathroom. Some of them even have a nice view on the sea. A small library and a large living room are available to guests.

I stayed one night and had a really good time, and for a decent price. I was even alone in the room and had the huge common room for myself in the evening. The breakfast is nice and there are 2 sofas with a TV.
The only think I think could be improved is to ask people to write names and dates on their belongings in the fridge. A few things seemed to be there since a while.
Aucune hygiène, des punaises se baladent partout dans l’auberge.
De plus, les lits ne sont pas faits lorsque l’on arrive. Je me suis réveillée avec des boutons sur tout le corps le lendemain.
Et la gérante de l’auberge ne s’est en aucun cas excusé pour le manque d’hygiène de son auberge et à démenti nos propos.
Par ailleurs, pour le petit déjeuner qui est au passage immonde , il n’est pas éco responsable : assiettes, verre et couverts en plastique …
Je déconseille malgré son bon emplacement.
