CHIESA SAN GIOVANNI BATTISTA DI MONTEROSSO
Parish church of Monterosso characterized by its bichrome black and white facade.
The Monterosso parish church (late 13th century) is characterized by its black and white façade. Inside, the same two-color scheme is found on the columns and paving. The large arched arcades and finely sculpted rose window bear witness to the Ligurian Gothic style. The bell tower served as a watchtower to prevent pirate incursions. Highlights include a baptismal font dating from 1360, a white marble pietà and a Baroque altar in polychrome marble.

Vue splendide sur toute la côté.
La route pour y accéder de voiture est très étroite, pleine de virage donc s’abstenir si l'on n'aime pas conduire.
mais les paysage et le village typique nous ont rapidement faire oublier tout ça !
Belle rosace a l entrée
