CHIESA DI SAN PIETRO DI CORNIGLIA
Church in historic Ligurian Gothic style, refurbished in Baroque style, with iconography based on the 4 Evangelists.
Architecturally, this is one of the most accomplished Ligurian Gothic churches in the region. Built in 1334 on the remains of an earlier edifice, its façade of local sandstone is decorated with a beautiful rose window, finely openwork. The three-aisled interior, refurbished in Baroque style, features a beautiful 12th-century baptismal font. The main iconographic theme is the four evangelists (Saints Luke, John, Mark and Matthew).
