Hotel on the hill behind Manarola where you can enjoy the terrace and modern rooms.
La Luna di Marzo is the ideal place to escape the crowds at the height of the Cinque Terre season. With a magnificent view of the sea, lost between olive groves, this small hotel on the hill behind Manarola offers comfortable, modern rooms. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay will be one of the highlights of your stay. No car? Don't worry, the place is easily accessible by a shuttle service, which connects Volastra to Manarola in just a few minutes.

It is located in Volastra, so a bit on the hill over Manarola that is really perfect if you want to make use of the many trekkings with breathtaking views of the Cinque Terre natural park.
Given the location, the main feature of the hotel is a really breathtaking view on the bay over Manarola (as you will see from the pics).
I advise arriving by car
Reserved street parking is also available from the hotel (be aware it is not free of charge, though).
The entrance of the hotel is not so easy of you have restricted mobility, but not particularly difficult. Moreover the location offers great privacy and quietness.
Rooms are neat and tidy, but not so exceptionally beautiful.
The hotel is also not far from Manarola, which can be reached either on foot (30 minutes walk), or by bus (10 minutes drive, frequency 30 minutes).
From there you can start your standard visit to Cinque Terre via train.
Rooms are good as well with airconditioning. Service was great. If you come by car, ask for reserved parking as you'll need it in order to park your car.
From the hotel you can walk down to Manarola where you can grab the train to the other villages. You can go back up again with the local bus. Staff of the hotel explained everything in detail and provided a nice map, which was really helpful.
The villages are all really beautiful, but can be crowded.
