Small oratory housing the wooden statue of the Madonna of the Chains in Riomaggiore.

This small^16th-centuryoratory, recognizable by its rose-colored campanile, is home to the wooden statue of the Virgin of Chains, which evokes the days of the invasions, when pirates chained prisoners. Its sleek white interior is nevertheless home to several remarkable works of art, the centerpiece of which is the choir's marble altar. This is a triptych combining gilding and tempera on wood, depicting a crowned Virgin with Child, surrounded by saints.
