SAINT MICHAEL'S CHURCH
Church classified as a historic monument, located near the large Chaînes bridge on the left bank of the Touques river.
A beautiful Monument Historique church, in the heart of Pont-l'Évêque, near the Pont des Chaînes, on the left bank of the Touques river. In the 12th century, a chapel dedicated to Saint-Michel was built here for the monks of Saint-Hymer. Its nave and choir were built in the flamboyant Gothic style, while the northern part dates from the 15th century, and the southern facade from a more recent period: 19th century. Its western tower is thought to have been built in the 13th century. Don't miss a visit to the presbytery garden, just behind the church.
